News items are displayed in a row of three tiles (one large and two small).
The tiles can have images or they can be just text (if that's how the news item is created). There is also an optional link to the full listing of news items on your website.
There is an option to replace the default background with an image, this can offer the opportunity to incorporate a light watermark or carefully incorporate your branding.
If using background images, make sure there's enough contrast between your text and your new background: accessibility.sa.gov.au/your-role/visual-design/colour-and-contrast
Given the limited space it's best to test what works and what doesn't.
